I am very fortunate to be able to practice orthodontics in Cache Valley. To have such an awesome team and amazing patients makes me feel so lucky.
One of the best parts of being an orthodontist is connecting with so many outstanding people and being part of their lives, even if it’s just for a short while. I hope the smile we help create inspires them to share their joy with the people around them. I hope to be a positive influence in their lives. A smile can change a person’s day, so why not give it a try? Smile Big!
Education and Continuing Education
My interest in orthodontics started in middle school. My dad was an orthodontist and it was always cool to go to events around the community and have people stop and say hi, flash their smiles, or tell him they are still wearing their retainers. He was always happy to hear that last one! While my original goal was to be a secret agent like James Bond, I realized that it was probably not practical if I wanted a family, so here we are and I love being an orthodontist!
- Brigham Young University – Bachelor’s degree in Business Management
- University of California Los Angeles – Doctorate of Dental Surgery
- Virginia Commonwealth University – Master of Science in Dentistry/Orthodontic Residency
Techniques are always improving and our office is dedicated to providing the ultimate orthodontic experience. I want to provide my patients with the best possible care, so it is important to follow the latest research by continuing my education. Better education leads to better treatment outcomes!

In the Community
If we’re not making smiles in the office, we love seeing smiles in the community! We like to boost patients’ animals at the Cache County Fair, Franklin County Fair, and other local shows. We love to contribute to reading programs at the elementary and middle schools. We support the Cache Education Foundation and Logan City Schools, as well as sponsor all the local high school sports teams. We have such an amazing community, and we want to help where we can.
Outside the Office
I grew up in Logan, Utah and now live in Providence. My wife Ashley is from Boise, Idaho. We had our first boy, MJ, just as we were finishing up residency in Virginia. We also have three little girls, Nora, Ada, and Gwen. They all have an incredible amount of energy and I love them like crazy!
When I’m not in the office, I’m most likely relaxing at home with my family. I do like to go ride my mountain bike up the canyon or on different trails in the area. I love basketball and lacrosse and have been lucky enough to coach different teams at the youth, high school, and collegiate levels.
Morris N. Poole, DDS
American Board of Orthodontics, Certified Orthodontist
Practice Consultant
Having worked in the field of orthodontics for more than 40 years gives Dr. Poole an overview of the profession that few orthodontists have. He served as president of the American Association of Orthodontists. Now retired from practicing orthodontics, he is involved in advising the team with respect to practice management, patient care, and office procedures.
Dr. Poole’s family consists of his wife Dixie and seven children, one of whom, Morris L. Poole, DDS, owns and practices orthodontics at Poole Orthodontics. Dr. Poole has a small farm that he manages and enjoys the outdoors. He has also served on community boards and committees, which has brought him great satisfaction. One of his little-known achievements is that he is the owner of a New Zealand driver's license where they drive on the left!
